August 18 2011 - some news

Hey everyone, summer is rolling to a close and though it seems like I've just finally gotten my head on straight after Willie Nelson's Country Throwdown. I'm getting back on the road. I'm writing this from Phoenix sky harbor airport, on my way to play Seattle sound fest on friday. Then I'll be heading back on Saturday morning to the Midwest to start the first ever tour of me with my new and hopefully fairly permanent backing band "the Bold Party".. We're doing two weeks of headlining shows on the east coast and then heading out west with fellow Hoosiers, The Reverend Peyton and his Big Damn Band.

After that, in november it looks like I'll be doing a couple of weeks of dates in the south and south east with one of my favorite bands in the world, Glossary!

And, for those of you in Europe, look for dates with me and the Bold Party this march.

Just wanted to say I saw Austin at the throwdown in Del Mar CA. I was there mostly to see Jamey Johnson. Austin, Absolutely blew me away. I ordered 2 of his cds online. Totally awesome!! Nobody out there like him. I am now a huge, huge fan. Love his stuff.
